Decorating for Christmas

On Saturday Gracie "helped" decorate for Christmas. First she unwrapped the balls and we learned that if you chew on Christmas balls the color and glitter will come off.
Then she broke the nose off Mommy's snowman.
Next she decided the tree needed some tissue paper.
When Mommy finished cleaning up she noticed Gracie added one more touch to the tree.
Last she helped daddy put the ornaments on the baby tree for her room. We got all the decorating done. We only put ornaments on the top half of the tree in the living room. Between the cat and Gracie we decided low ornaments were a bad idea. Gracie thinks the lack of ornaments on the bottom of the tree is so that she can add her toys and stuffed animals to the tree... cute!

Thanksgiving

Aunt Lindsay let me try on her boots.
I played with my second cousin Dean. I gave him lots of kisses!

First Snow Experience!

Last winter Grace was always in her infant seat covered with a blanket so we realized this is probably the first time she has experienced snow.

She just learned to walk and all this winter gear is adding to the challenge!

Grace's Procedure

Grace had a procedure this week at St. Elizabeth Hospital. We are still battling digestive issues that she has had since birth. We have two issues we are attempting to fix. 1. Why does she not handle milk or soy milk? 2. Why does she need Mirilax every day just to poop? The procedure this week was to eliminate the possibility of malformed nerves that transmit signals to her brain to poop. Thankfully the results were normal and THAT isn't the issue. The next step is to gradually introduce Lactaid milk and see if she tolerates it. When she is two years old we will pursue further testing that will determine allergies or intolerances to certain foods. For now we will continue to use Alimentum formula and Mirilax. If it makes her happy and keeps her growing that's all we care about right now!

Bows are Pretty!

We are trying to convince Gracie that bows are "pretty" and she should leave them in her hair. Even Grandpa is in on the attempts to convince her.

Trick or Treating at Uncle Andy's Office Friday Oct. 29th

Grandpa and Uncle Andy's office does trick or treating at their business. Grace enjoyed finding the buckets of candy in each office. The president of the company dressed up and had a smoke machine and everything... It was cool until it set of the smoke alarms and the firemen came. We teased them that their firemen costumes looked authentic!

Church on Sunday October 31st

We went to church with Grammy and Grandpa on Sunday. Grace dressed up as a fairy. She was tired of the bumblebee costume. She enjoyed a sucker on her daddy's lap after church.

Carving Pumpkins Saturday October 30th

Saturday night Grace carved pumpkins with both sets of grandparents. She refused to touch the inside of the pumpkin although she did give the jack-o-lantern lots of kisses after it was done being carved.

Boo at the Zoo Wed. October 27th

We took Grace to "Boo at the Zoo" for trick-or-treating Wednesday night. It was fun but really cold.

Trunk or Treating Friday October 29th

We went to "Trunk or Treat" at our new church. Grace saw her friend Dillon there. Dillon's family is in our HOME group from church.

Grace got the hang of getting candy from the trunks of cars pretty fast. She especially loved the suckers.
