Painting the Castle

Grace got to help Daddy paint the new castle he built her (see earlier post)!

Slightly Over the Top!

I found this on Pinterest and showed it to Jacob. Of course 24 hours later we have one almost built in our basement! Daddy can't do anything half way! It is way over the top. It has drywall and everything. This morning he took Grace to the hardware store to pick out paint. Instead of putting her bed on the top we are making a reading loft.

Omaha Zoo

Mommy and Gracie took Grandpa to the Omaha Zoo today. Gracie and Grandpa make good penguins!
Grace loves the cactus and is sure to warn us all that they are "ouchie!"

Grandpa tried to convince her to go across the hanging bridge but she didn't go for it!

Our Little Performer

Grace sings in the church kids' choir. They perform in church every few months. The first time she sang in church she did great so I had no worries about this time. Apparently she was more comfortable this time. Not only did she not sing... she rolled around on the steps, stuck her bottom up in the air, sat down and kicked her feet, etc, etc, etc. The entire congregation was laughing so hard. I was so embarrassed. I know she's the youngest child at church but we'll have to work on this behavior before the next performance.

The "Beach"

We had a play date at Holmes Lake today. Grace wanted to go down by the water to the "beach". She loved wading in the water but ended up taking it a bit too far...









She saw this can and said "Oh look, a sea shell!"

Preschool

Grace will start preschool in September when she turns 3. On Tuesday we visited her preschool at Pioneers Park Nature Center.

Too Funny

Every morning that we don't have to go to work Jacob gets up with Grace. They are morning people and Mommy isn't! They build forts, chase imaginary monsters, have tea parties, etc. This morning they were apparently having so much fun that Grace was majorly disappointed when Mommy got up! She ran over and put her hand out and said, "No Mommy! You need more sleeps!" I guess there were more monsters to chase and Mommy was going to get in the way!

Precious moment!

When we get home each day Tabby our cat is waiting for us right inside the door. Grace always gives her a hug. It's so cute! Tonight when we got home she hugged Tabby and said, "Oh Tabby, it's okay! I just at Grammy's house! I home now!" I just died laughing! I know Tabby was probably worried sick so it's good that Grace reassured her everything is okay!

Indoor Playground

Life has been a little crazy lately with the new cousin and Grace adjusting to not being the center of attention. Today we decided to take her to the Indoor Playground that is by the Children's Zoo. This gave her a little one-on-one {or two-on-one since we both went} attention from Mommy and Daddy! She had a blast!

Grace is a Cousin

Harper Marie was born on Monday around 5:00pm! She was 18 3/4 inches long and weighed 7lbs. 13oz. Lindsay had a c-section because little Harper just didn't want to come out! But we are glad she's here!!
