Grace's First Easter Egg Hunt

Grace went on her first Easter Egg Hunt at our church Sunday afternoon. There were millions of kids. Luckily there was a section roped off for kids two and under. We just sat Grace in front of an egg until she picked it up then we put it in her basket and moved on. She got a grand total of 8 eggs. Here is Grace's version of the egg hunt...

Mommy and Daddy say this is going to be fun but I'm not so sure.... all I see is an empty basket!
I think I saw the Easter Bunny!
Now what am I supposed to do with that thing?
Look how many that little boy over there got Mommy!
It's far more fun to watch the other kids get their eggs than to get my own!
Look I found an orange one... Daddy's favorite color!
Happy Easter!

Gracie enjoyed a good book for dinner... literally! She got lots of attention from Nana and Grandpa and visited lots of Nana and Grandpa's friends.

Visiting Nana and Grandpa in Hebron

Grace and Mommy and Daddy visited Nana and Grandpa Baden in Hebron on Wednesday. Grace was worn out from visiting so many people and being so cute. She had to take a quick nap on the couch.

What's Gracie Up To?

Grace is changing so fast these days. Here are a few updates on what's going on with Gracie... She continues to sleep through the night. Since the time change she usually goes to bed between 7:30 and 8:00 and sleeps until 6:00 or 7:00. She had her six month checkup/shots last Monday. She took the shots like a champ and hardly cried. She weighed in at a whopping 16 lb. 14 oz. and was 26 1/2 in. long. She is in the 70th percentiles in height, weight, and head size. She's eating all sorts of baby foods and so far her favorite is sweet potatoes. Daddy baby proofed the house this weekend since Gracie can roll and before we know it she'll be scooting and crawling. We started attending a new church that is about a mile from our house. It has a great kids program with tons of young kids and lots of couples our age. Grace went to the nursery today for the first time and seemed to enjoy it. They have a fun bouncer that she got to jump in. Grace still refuses to sleep in her crib. She was starting to sleep in her crib better but then she got RSV and had to sleep upright so we let her sleep in her swing. Now she won't last 5 min. in her bed but she'll sleep 9-11 hours in her swing! Our goal over spring break is to get her back in her bed... we'll see!

Not Your Best Look Gracie!

Apparently Gracie was into blowing bubbles at Grammy's today. Grammy sent me this picture from her phone. Not exactly her best look!

I Don't Want To Be A Big Girl!

Grace is now in a big girl car seat vs. her infant seat. The new car seat stays in the car so when we went to the grocery store she had to sit in the cart instead of her infant seat. She HATED it! She screamed every time I put her in there. I gave in and carried her during our shopping. Have you ever tried to push a cart straight while carrying a wiggly infant? I made her sit back in the cart while we checked out and went to the car. You can tell by the look on her face that she wasn't thrilled to be a big girl!

Bath Time

Grace was sporting a bath robe last night.

Guess Who!!!

Guess who slept all night?! I know... we're so proud of Jacob! Just kidding! It was Grace!! Actually we all got to sleep all night. This is her first time going more than 7 hours. I fed her at six thirty last night and put her to sleep in her room. We didn't hear a peep from her until four a.m. I thought for sure she would be starving and mad when she woke up but she woke up happy and was just talking. When Jacob went in to get her she gave him a smile like she knew what she had done. We are so proud and hope she continues this!
