4 Month Checkup

Grace turned four months on Saturday {Jan. 16th}. We went to the dr. today for her checkup/shots. She got a shot in each leg and an oral dose as well. She took it like a trooper and only cried for a few seconds. Since she is four months we get to start feeding her cereal and baby food. Below is a video of her first solid food experience. Grace is up to 15 lb. 4 oz. and 25 in. long. Her head size, length, and weight are all in the 70-80 percentile. That means her measurements are larger than 70-80 percent of babies her age. This is huge improvement since she was only in the 8th percentile at her two month checkup. The dr. assessed her development and overall she's doing well. She's doing everything a three month old should and some of what a four month old should. She's a little behind in some developmental areas due to being born early. She's a three month old in a four month body. She can now reach for objects, coo/talk, and hold her head up steady for long periods of time. We need to work on putting weight on her legs, attempting to roll over, and being able to put herself to sleep. Apparently it's normal for her development to be a little behind in the beginning because of being born early but by her first birthday we shouldn't see any difference from full term babies. We are so proud of our little munchkin and all that she has learned how to do. She is growing and learning so fast. We can't believe she is 4 months already.

Baby Food

Mommy isn't sure what flavor of baby food Gracie will like so she bought them all!!!

First Trip to the Salon

Mommy and Daddy got haircuts on the snow day off from school... Gracie went along for her first trip to the salon. When she gets a little more hair she can get a haircut too.

Silly Gracie

The cord on her Binkey is supposed to hook to her shirt. We were driving home from Grammy's on Monday and she started crying so I stuck this Binkey from my purse in her mouth. When we got home I realized the cord was up over her face.

Grace's Room

We painted Grace's room during our two weeks off for the holidays. The letters that spell her name are from her Aunt Lindsay and Uncle Andy. {Aunt Lindsay made them}
