Gracie going for her first swim!

Here was grace at the pool for the first time!

Big Girl!

Grace had her first high chair experience in a restaurant. She usually sits in her infant seat or on our lap. She now has enough control when sitting up that she was able to sit on her own.

Sleepy!

Daddy's lap is so cozy!

Daily Note

Each day Gracie gets a little note at Grammy's that tells us when she ate, pooped, slept etc. She likes to hold her note on the way home. Today when we got home I couldn't find the note. She had eaten it. I retrieved most of the pieces but as you can see it isn't very legible! I'm thinking that Gracie doesn't get to hold her note on the way home anymore.

Rolling Over!

Guess who rolled over Monday night! I was laying down after school and Gracie and Jacob were playing in the living room. Jacob came running in to get me and said, "I think she's about to roll over." Sure enough she rolled from her back to her front. This is the first time she's done this independently and we're so excited! She tried all evening to do it again but keeps getting her arm stuck under her chest. When she starts doing it more frequently we'll put a video up on the blog.

Update on Sick Baby

Update... Grace started running a fever, coughing, was hoarse etc. last Friday. Monday both Grace and Mommy stayed home sick. Tuesday Mommy gave in and send Gracie to the dr. with Grammy. It turns out she has RSV and an ear infection. Apparently RSV is very common with premature babies and they tend to get it more than once during the first few years of life. It can be very serious but luckily Grace isn't bad enough to need hospitalization. She is on an antibiotic for her ear infection and gets breathing treatments every four hours. They last about 10 min. which seems like an eternity when she is crying and fighting the mask. She's getting better though and doesn't fight the mask as much as in the beginning. Her mask is a little dinosaur but Grace doesn't seem to appreciate how cute it is! She seems to be getting better and has some of her voice back. For a while she couldn't make much of any noise at all. She sleeps in her swing next to our bed so that we can hear her stirring around when she wakes up since she can't cry. Between the humidifier, her breathing machine, and the clicking of her swing, our room is like a three ring circus at night. Add in the cat who wants to play all night because of all the commotion... and it's practically impossible to get any sleep. Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday!!!

Sick Baby Sick Mommy

Grace and Mommy are both sick with bad colds. They're running fevers between 101 and 102, coughing, and have sore throats. Gracie isn't eating or sleeping well. She tries to moan and cry but she is so hoarse that it's just a pitiful little whimper. This picture shows the look she has on her face most of the time these days. So sad!!!!
