The Life Of A One-Year Old

Weight: 20lbs. 13.5 oz. {43rd percentile}
Height: 29 3/4 in. {67th percentile}
Head Size: 18 1/2 inches {92nd percentile} Lots of brains!!

Car Seat: Forward Facing {It's a whole new perspective on the world!}

Favorite Food: Key Lime Yogurt
Other Favorite Foods: String Cheese, Scrambled Eggs, Gogurt tubes {yogurt in a tube}, pudding, ice-cream, ham, bread and puffs
Least Favorite Foods: Raisins and Peas

New Skills: giving kisses {Mama loves this one!}, standing on her own for up to 10 seconds, walking holding onto furniture or fingers, barking like a dog when she hears a dog, and biting when she's mad {Mama isn't so thrilled with this last one!}

Words: Mama, Dada, woof-woof

Things she loves: Grandpa {Right now she's super attached to Grandpa and won't go to anyone else when he's around. She also won't take naps when he's around.}, her new key set she got for her birthday {They play music and she pushes the button to turn the music on over and over and over again all the way home from Grammy and Grandpa's house every afternoon. Thank you Johnna and Gary!}, chasing Tabby around the house, loading and unloading anything over and over and over, playing chase through the house with Mama and Daddy, being tickled, reading books, dancing, baths, going for walks, swinging and attention in general.

Things she hates: getting dressed, getting her diaper changed, wiping her face after she eats, and wiping her nose

Formula: All done! This will save Mama and Daddy $450.00 a month!
Milk: We tried to switch to milk for 10 days but apparently milk is still an issue for Grace so she's now on organic soy milk. It's not quite as cheap as regular milk but beats buying her expensive formula!
Bottles vs. Sippy Cups: We're trying to get her to take milk from a sippy cup but she much prefers her bottle.

Cute Things About Her Right Now: She signs "more", "all-done", "milk", and "swing", she waves to everyone and everything, she dances any time she hears music, she blows kisses, she claps, she raises her hands up high when you ask her how big she is, she raises her hands up high when you yell "touch-down", she gives slobbery kisses, she lays her head on your shoulder and pats your back when she's tired, she looks around to see if anyone is watching before she gets into something she knows is a "no-no", her laugh and her smile!
