Our Little Jellybean

Here is our ultrasound picture from Tuesday. The arrow is pointing to our little jellybean. The other little blobs are the yolk sac and the developing umbilical cord. We got to hear the heartbeat during the ultrasound. It was amazing! 126 beats per minute! Our little one must be highly gifted because it is already talking to us {see the message at the bottom}.

Upcoming Ultrasound

We have our first ultrasound scheduled for Tuesday at 3:45. The dr. is hoping to hear the heartbeat during that ultrasound. It's amazing that in only seven weeks we can hear the heart! So far I'm feeling ok. I have Bronchitis and can't take much for it because of the pregnancy so I'm just resting a lot. Tuesday I went to the dr. for another blood draw and to have them check my lungs. Everything with the baby looked good but I got too hot at the dr. office and starting getting sick. Ever since then I've had a lot more nausea but haven't gotten sick anymore. My only other symptom so far is exhaustion. It crazy... something the size of a poppy seed can make me this tired.  Check the blog later this coming week for the results of the ultrasound.

Dr. Confirmation

On Tuesday {Feb. 3rd} the dr. confirmed that Katrina is pregnant and everything in her blood test looked good. She went back Thursday for another blood draw. On Friday the dr. said everything still looks good but she is further along than we initially calculated. She is a little over five weeks along. We can go for our first ultra-sound in her seventh week to hear the heart-beat. Amazing! This picture is all the stuff we accumulated from family and friends in the first 24 hours after announcing we were pregnant. If this picture is any indication of what's to come I don't think we have to worry about this child being too deprived.

It's positive!

It's positive! We can't believe it! We are so excited to be expecting. On Saturday morning {Jan. 31st} Katrina took a pregnancy test and it was positive. To be sure we were pregnant she bought a second test of a different brand and it was positive too. On Sunday she took a third test confirming... we are pregnant! Monday she went to her doctor for a blood test. We should hear back from him Tuesday confirming she is 

pregnant and that everything

looks good.
